This inlaid drop-leaf
mahogany Pembroke Table is a reproduction of a late eighteenth-century table
of Hepplewhite inspiration. The original table from which the reproduction
is copied indicates Southern manufacture about 1780. Legs, drawer front
and back rail are inlaid with white holly; poplar drawer sides, hand dovetailed,
handmade wooden hinges for leaf supports. One drawer. |
